AGE INFORMATION

How old do I need to be to drive a Sepadu rental vehicle?
To drive Sepadu vehicles, you need to be at least 18 years old and have held a valid driving license for at least 1 year at the start of your rental.

How do I know if there are minimum age restrictions to rent a Sepadu truck?
When you book, we will inform you the minimum age restrictions for the vehicle you request.

I am under 18 years old. Do I eligible to drive a Sepadu vehicle?
Unfortunately, we do not offer a young driver. If you are under 18 years old, you will not be able to drive Sepadu vehicle because our insurance does not cover the driver below 18 years old.

Are there any maximum age restrictions?
Yes, you are not allowed to drive Sepadu vehicles if you are over 65 years old.

I am over 65 years old. Do I eligible to drive a Sepadu vehicle?
Unfortunately, we do not offer for the senior driver. If you are over 65 years old, you will not be able to drive a Sepadu vehicle because our insurance does not cover for the driver over 65 years old.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept:
  • MasterCard credit cards
  • Visa credit cards
  • Boost
  • Touch 'n Go eWallet
We do accept Debit cards, Maestro cards, Visa Electron cards, Cirrus cards, JCB cards, any pre-paid cards – even if you carry the Visa or MasterCard logo.

Can I pay by cash?
Unfortunately, we do not accept any payment by cash.

RESERVATION

How can I check on or change my existing reservation?
You can access your reservation online, call 03-80259001 or click the WhatApp image below to chat with our customer service.

When should I collect my vehicle after received the order confirmation via email?
The customer can pick up or collect the vehicle 3 calendar days after the customer received the order confirmation.

Eg: Customer made an order on 23rd, the customer can come and collect the vehicle on the 25th.

Please take note that the reservation date must be 3 days prior to your pick-up / collection date.

Can I cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation within 3 calender days with no fees attached.

Can I change the date of my reservation?
You can make any period changes prior to pick-up (within 6 months of original reservation date), based on availability, without affecting your rate.

TAKING THE VEHICLE OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY

Am I allowed to take the vehicle to other countries?
No, you are allowed to use the vehicle in Peninsular Malaysia only.

DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Can I have a vehicle delivered to me?
No, currently we do not provide this service. We only allow customers to pick-up the vehicle at our office address:

Lot 85 Jalan Subang 8, Taman Perindustrian Subang, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Where can I collect the vehicle?
Our pick up service only available at our office address:

Lot 85 Jalan Subang 8, Taman Perindustrian Subang, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Please give us 24 hours’ notice when you want to pick-up the vehicle. We will arrange the for you on shorter notice, but you will need to check with us via WhatApps.

When can I collect the vehicle?
You can collect the vehicle at our business hour:
  • Monday to Friday: 9am to 6pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 1 pm
  • Except legal holidays

What happens if I am not there to pick-up the vehicle?
The security deposit will be deducted accordingly.

DRIVING LICENCE & ID REQUIREMENTS

Driving Licenses

Do I need to bring my driving license with me?
Yes. You must bring all parts of your valid driving license with you. You must take your driving license or an international driving license.

Is there a minimum length I must have held my license for?
Yes. You must have held your licenses for at least a year. If your license does not show the period of validation, then you must provide the evidence, such as:
  • Previous driving licenses
  • Or a letter from the driving license authority stating that you have held it for this minimum period.

I have unspent convictions on my license, can I drive?
If any you have any unspent driving convictions for the following:
  • careless, reckless or dangerous driving,
  • using a vehicle uninsured against third party risks
  • been disqualified - or
  • driving or attempting to drive whilst under the influence of drink or drugs,
  • theft or unauthorized taking of a vehicle
If they have two or more unspent convictions for offenses not listed above, unfortunately, you will not be able to drive Sepadu's vehicles.

ID requirements

Do I need to bring proof of identification?
Yes, you must bring:
  • A valid IC or passport, the name must be similar to the order that you make thru our website
  • A valid GDL license
  • Authorization Letter (optional)

Other requirements

Will I need to give a security deposit?
Yes, you must give us a security deposit on your payment card before we release the vehicle to you. A security deposit holds money in your account.

Where do I need to do to give a security deposit?
You will need to give the security deposit over the counter during the vehicle collection process.

How much is the security deposit?
The amount of the security deposit is either fixed – or calculated based on:
  • The vehicles group
  • Less any amount we accept you will be paid towards the rental when you booked – for example, the cost of any accepted voucher

FUEL CHARGES

Should I bring the vehicle back with a full tank of fuel?
Yes. Our vehicle will fully refill according to the fuel gauge. You must return it to us with the same amount of fuel it had in it when you picked it up – usually a full tank – as shown on the fuel gauge.  We recommend you fill up as close to the return location as you can on the return date and keep the receipt to show us. If you do not return the vehicle with a full tank – or you fail to show us the fuel receipt – we will charge you accordingly.

What are my options if I do not return the vehicle full?
Pay on Return will apply if you:
*Do not return the vehicle with a full tank.

How do I calculate the cost of Pay on Return?
We charge two times the average fuel price at the end of the rental period. This charge covers our cost of driving to the nearest petrol station at short notice, and potentially delaying the next customer’s rental.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

Can I pick up the vehicle outside the business hours?
Yes, you are able to collect the vehicle outside the business hours but charges will be imposed accordingly.

You must give us at least 24 hours’ notice to organize out of hour’s pick-up. We may be able to provide the service at shorter notice, but you will need to check with us via WhatsApp.

I checked the rate yesterday and it is different from today. Why is that?
Our rates are based on a variety of factors including equipment supply and customer demand. Because these factors fluctuate daily, our rates change on a daily basis.

Can I smoke in the vehicle?
No, it is strictly prohibited to smoke in the vehicle.

I was caught speeding and did not pay a parking charge. What will I have to pay?
You are responsible for all fines issued as a result of you or your additional drivers using the vehicle. Example of fines include:
  • All parking fines
  • Towing costs
  • Traffic fines
  • Any other fines
  • Toll charges
  • Clamping costs
  • Speeding fines
If a fine or charge is sent to us because you have not paid the fine or complied with the law, we will take payment for:
  • Our administration fee of MYR50.00 (subject to 6% service tax) for each fine or charge issued in Malaysia to cover our costs of dealing with the fine or charge
  • Plus the fine or charge – if we have to pay it

ONE WAY RENTALS

Are extra days for one-way rentals refundable?
Prior to pick-up, any extra days added are refundable up to payment of rental.

Once payment is made and after pick-up, extra days paid for are non-refundable.

Can I pick-up the vehicle from one rental location and drop-off at other location?
We only provide the same location for pick-up and drop-off.

I wanted to keep the vehicle for extra days. What should I do?
If you want to extend the rental, please contact us as soon as possible. At the latest, this should be before two working days of the end date and time on your rental agreement. Extra days will be charged accordingly.

I return the rental vehicle early. Will I receive a refund?
The one-way rental rate is based on per day basis. There is no refund for early return.

What happens if late returning the rental vehicle?
If you are late returning the vehicle, we will charged you for the number of days until we received our Sepadu vehicle.
